General Hospital: Should Michael have fought for Teddy? Is Nelle Michael's sister?

On General Hospital, let's start this article off by saying that it seemed way to off balance for Michael to have just handed Teddy over.  While Sabrina was all for letting Teddy spend time with Joe it is far from certain that she would have wanted Joe to raise Teddy.  

Also, Joe took a position at General Hospital and yes, the Hospital is closed for now but does this mean that we are losing both the characters of Joe, Sabrina & Teddy in one hit of the delete button on a keyboard?  Sabrina may have wanted her son to be raised by family but it would have been her own family, not Joe's/Carlos's.  

Why go through all the trouble of having Michael rescue her and bring her back to eliminate her just a few months later?  Something really seems off here.  Also, why go through all the trouble of bringing to Port Charles the brother of Carlos and do nothing with that story-line?  How many dropped story-lines is General Hospital going to churn out?  

Are they brother and sister?  

Now, let's talk about Nelle a minute.  Let's Get Soapy thinks that the writers are  just not sure what they are going to do with her character.  They brought Nelle on the show as this purer than the driven snow character.  Then they had her do some things and make some faces that would make the viewers think she may not be so innocent after all.  Now they are back to having her be all rightous and right there for Michael and anything he needs.  Will she be Michael's new love interest or is she Michael's sister?  Some rumors are saying she is Michael's twin.  Let's  Get Soapy does not think she is a twin but it is possible that Nelle is a baby that Carly had before she came to Port Charles and that she gave her up in Florida.  Georgia is not that far from Florida and so a private adoption was totally doable and believable.  

Some say that Nelle is actually Jax's daughter but JAX and his family would never walk away from offspring.  They wouldn't have had too.  Jax and his family have always been wealthy.  Any baby Jax would have had in his early years would have been raised by his parents.  They were good and caring people other than raising that bad apple Jerry.  Also, if Nelle was Jerry's their parents still would have raised her.  

Do you think that Nelle is related to Michael?  Do you think Michael should have fought for Teddy?  Do you ultimately it will be proven that Michael is Teddy's father and he just gave his son away without second guessing anything?
