So today the old new old new old new old new Faith was back. I honestly think the little girl that plays Faith today does a better job than the other little girl. Look at the expression on her face. It is priceless. I see so many back and forth's from fans that think Nick should have sole custody. I am not sure I get that thinking as Sharon has never been a danger to her kids. Some people say she uses her kids but the only time she did that was when she was NOT on her meds. Sharon is a good mother when she is following her med protocol.
You know Nick knew that Sharon had mental health issues but he continued to carry on and off again relationships with her. That is in fact how Faith was born in the first place. Sharon warned him that she had a bad secret that could hurt him. He assured her over and over again that it would not be a problem. So what is it Nick? It is actually not a problem unless it actually does hurt or affect the anyone else that I love?
Putting that aside, let's just talk about now. The secret comes out, Nick turns into Victor and says he is not only NOT going to marry her, he is leaving her and filing for sole custody of their child. A child who has always lived full time with her Mom since Sharon got her abducted child back.
The character of Sharon had twins when she was a teenager. The way the recent history has been told, she gave one baby up and didn't know there was a second baby. She got back her one of the twins when she was still a little girl because she couldn't live without her child. During that time, she and Nick marry. Somewhere around that time they have a baby boy and name him Noah.
Phyllis gets pregnant but at that time, Phyllis was still sleeping with Jack. Jack delivers the baby girl in an elevator which was also some damn fine daytime drama.
They stay together for a while until they don't because Phyllis starts messing around and Nick fools around with Sharon. This is when Sharon got pregnant with Faith.
Fast forward about 2 years real time and Nick and Sharon are working their way back to each other. By the way, Summer should be around 8 years old right now but who's counting. Sharon has never been able to deal with the loss of her baby. Victor knew this and saw Sharon and Nick coming together again so he makes a plan to gaslight her with a young girl he found that looked like Cassie's twin. That does indeed push Sharon over the edge and it was at this time when Sharon discovers that NICK had a bad DNA test on Summer and that Summer could be Jacks daughter.
They show Sharon outside the DNA testing room but I never saw her actually switch the test results. Sharon obviously thought she did because the fight ensued in the stairwell at the Athletic Club and Phyllis takes her tumble. She was not pushed, she fell. Sharon runs away and deals with her demons on this while Victor still had Mariah gas-lighting Sharon.
Sharon at that point could not tell the difference about what was real of not anymore and decides to have Electric Shock Treatment. That wipes away her memory of any wrong doing. She goes on a new schedule with pills and her and Nick move full steam ahead with a relationship.
They both show this little girl what a happy family looks like and for a time this little girl was living her dream. No wonder that kid is messed up.
Sharon has had basically her first two babies (daughters) taken from her. She got to raise one for a little while and then lost her to death. So she in effect suffered 3 losses there. Then when she was giving birth to Faith, Adam stole Faith and gave her to Ashley. Sharon was told her baby died but she did not believe it. She could feel her child was still alive. After almost a year she got her little girl back. That was another loss she suffered for almost a year.
She finds out that Mariah is the twin of Cassie and they are slowly building a relationship. She had to learn that her twin lived a horrible life and that breaks her heart.
Now Nick is trying to take away that child from her. At this point if I were Sharon, I probably would have packed my kid up and left the country but I guess she won't leave Noah and Mariah behind.
Nick has suffered no loss of children. He was willing to let Jack believe that Summer was his (Nicks) without knowing the truth when Summer was born,. Had he not done that, Sharon and whoever and I do mean WHOEVER would not have had the opportunity to switch DNA results in the current times.
Cassie was not Nick's child, she was Sharon's. Yeah, yeah, they show great family scenes but bottom line is, she was not his child. He has lost nothing in his life and he is arrogant, spoiled and selfish. Now Victor is not spoiled but he had spoiled his kids (with Nikki) and they are not very nice people (all of them for different reasons).
Sharon should use anything she has at her disposal to retain custody of her child. She is fighting for her daughter, her life and her own sanity. The character cannot take another loss.
First think you said I disagree with is that Sharon is a good mother. I disagree with that. She thinks she is but she uses the children. She leaves them way to much and doesn't try to get them to have good time. The first thing Sharon did when Faith came home from Nicks, was to question her. What did you see, tell me all about it. That opened the door for Faith to let her imagination go wild. Sharon knows that she has put into Faith that she and Nick are still trying to work it out when in fact, Sharon should be helping Faith except the fact that she and Nick are not together and may not be. Faith must go on and stop trying to help her mother get her dad back. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry for the misspelled words. First Thing you said. :(
ReplyDeleteI think you said everything perfectly. This next comment is a SPOILER ALERT for Feb. 4th show so if you haven't watched it, please keep scrolling. They should have brought out the fact that it was Faith's night with Nick and he wouldn't make Sage leave. Then, the poor kid got mad and when she didn't apologize correctly, was sent to her room. Fact is, it WAS Faith's night to be with her Daddy and THAT should have been brought up in court.
