My concern is this. I write anywhere from 4 to 8 pieces a day regarding the soaps. To date, the reads I get from B&B viewers are far less than the reads I get from Y&R, GH and DAYS and I am trying to figure out why.

Is it that there is just less B&B fans. Several of the groups I post on are combined Y&R and B&B Groups and the difference in reads in incredible.
Is there anybody else that feels really ripped off by Hope's Skype return when they had her on set and didn't even bother acting like she flew into town to stop her father's wedding?

Do you think it has anything to do with B&B being a 1/2 show or the lack of interesting story-lines.
Is it because nobody wants to read what LGS and I write regarding B&B on The Daily Banner?
Right now I am trying to decide if I should spend anymore time writing B&B pieces because nobody seems interested.
Would you be sad to see them go?
Let me clarify by saying I am talking about people reading LETS GET SOAPY and B&B articles on THE DAILY BANNER. It is getting to the point where my editor at TDB is suggesting I give up writing about B&B and do an additional Y&R. I will tell you that if I do 4 blog posts on LETS GET SOAPY a day, one on each soap, B & B has the lowest number of reads. The same goes for anything soap related that THE DAILY BANNER publishes of mine. B&B gets the lowest reads and that is very concerning. It is not that one week it will come in last, it is EVERY WEEK. That is why I am asking this question.
I want to say thank you to the people that are reading my blogs. I will keep writing as long as you keep reading. We are not always going to agree but I do hope that you enjoy most of what I write and I write to share with you.

3- Wyatt is gross and completely ruined Hope's character
4- Quinn is a psychopath and was NOT a welcome addition to the show
5- The writers screwed with us too many times keeping Hope and Liam apart. A couple times, ok - this many times, no longer ok.
This soap has gone down hill every since it became all about Brooke and Hope. When Hope left it was a breath of fresh air ! When Brooke left .. Same thing . No more tears and " I could have him just like that( finger snaps)" and I will have any man I want .. Really?? It's so old. That woman does nothing but cry and tell people whom she hated BTW who they can and can't be with . Then there is little Brooke jr.. Who thinks she is entitled to whatever she wants , who she wants and doesn't hold her self to the same standards she holds everyone else.. And Hope sitting at the head of the Forresters table ??!?! What a JOKE! This one is so annoying with her giggle giggle and I should have what I want to hell with anyone else attitude . If the writers would bring back some old characters.. Throne , Taylor , Thomas and Steffy and have stories that revolve around Brooke then maybe people would watch and want to read blogs and things .

ReplyDeleteI am new to she show and remember Rick being on AMC I watch because I want to see the look on his pompous ass when he finds out about Maya. That sister has to go she is delusional. I feel sorry for Quinn think they need to give her a chance if Deacon drops her she is going to erupt. I think its terrible that none of those self righteous people couldn't come to the wedding its time to bury the hackett already, don't you think? None of them are innocent they all mess up. I want to know if the guy Bill acts like tha tin real life.
ReplyDeleteThey need to let Quin and Deacon marry . Brooke has no right to say who he can or can not be with . Hope is grown and needs to act that way. Hate how Brooke and Hope think everyone should do what they want

ReplyDeleteProducers seems to want to continuously insult female viewers. 2015 women with their own source of power and income are NOT whiney, needy and willing to do whatever to land a husband, any one's husband. The stories are tired and the dialog repetitive, but most importantly they rewrite character history. That is insulting for long term viewers.
ReplyDeleteBnB seems to only run ONE story line at at time. Whatever story is front burner, the rest of the cast is reduced to gossiping about what is going on in that story. I formerly watched all of the ABC soaps, all 3 of them since the first day they all aired. Many see the Maya/Myron story line as a ratings ploy. Plus they rewrote more history than could be believable. They chose a character with established history, would have been better if Maya's sister had been the transgender or someone new.
We are bone tired from Brooke and Hope and their endless quests to land a husband. Many viewers tune in to laugh at what a joke BnB has become, not to be entertained. Bottom line, most of the crapola is just unbelievable. Brooke has a drinking problem cause she cannot get a man, she goes to a few AA meetings and is cured.
I could go on, but I think you get the point. Many of us are trying to hang onto one of the few remaining day time soaps, but BnB writers are making it impossible.
I have been watch B&B for years, and I am so tired of the same story lines. Brook with this man, going after this man, and don't get me started on Hope.......I am tired of how long they drag a story line out...Maya was born a man ....come on! I could have done better writing then that......get it over with tell Rick you were born a man....and lets move on..
