Young and Restless Thursday Spoiler

This is a Young and Restless spoiler so STOP READING right now if you don’t want to know what is going to happen. 

Michael and Cane meet in Nick’s club and discuss the kiss that Cane and Lauren shared.  Michael let’s Cane he would be totally okay with Cane sleeping with Lauren. Cane loses it and says, “what about my wife Lily.” It is like Michael forgot that Cane has a wife.  It is very weird to say the least.

Lily sits down with Lauren and basically tricks her into telling her what happened between Cane and Lauren.  Lauren assumes Lily is talking about the kiss and reveals that it was just a mistake, that one kiss.  Lily tells her off but not as much as one would have expected.  Later on Lily finds Cane and lets him know she knows about the Kiss.  He say’s did Michael tell you and Lily’s response is, “No, the tramp he’s married to did.”

Avery shows up just fine at Dylan’s only now instead of being the strong and capable woman we all know her to be, she has become a whimpering coward.  She also wears a wrap hanging off one should so Dylan can see the bruise on her arm. She acts like Joe really abused her and she also tells Dylan that Joe has abused her before.

What the Daily Banner lunch crew doesn’t understand is why are they rewriting history again?  Joe raises money for victims of domestic violence and Avery helped him this last time.  All of a sudden she is remembering that Joe abused her? 

Sharon see’s Avery in Dylan’s arms and she goes to the club to see Joe.  Joe is there with Phyllis and Sharon tells them that Avery is fine and last seen in Dylan’s arms. Phyllis is thrilled that her sister is okay but goes ahead and slaps Joe across the face anyhow. It seems both Phyllis and her sister have anger issues.    

Dylan asks Avery if she was setting Joe up for her murder. She acts insulted but it makes sense because she ran out with the door open and blood dripping on the floor.  She went and spent all this time in Chicago helping a man she almost killed.  This storyline is not making sense. Are the viewers to believe that Avery was abused by Joe and blocked it because it was too traumatic? Unless he was the reason she lost her baby, the lunch crew does not think she could have had a reason to be so traumatized.   

Phyllis goes to the coffeehouse and ends up telling Avery off because she was going to disappear with saying goodbye.  Joe shows up at the coffee house and tells Dylan that it was Avery that abused him the day before and that if she had their way, they would have had sex but Joe stopped her.  A cop had followed Joe there and he then made his presence known.  Joe asked him to arrest Avery.  They are down at the police station and Paul tells them that it sounds like a case of he said she said.  It is getting way out of hand. Where are the writers going with this?
