Catatonic woman plays the part so well. |
While watching this episode today, we were laughing and laughing
about how this woman playing Nina’s recreation room friend could sit so still
and keep such a straight face. That has
to be so hard to do with Nina (Michele Stafford) making faces, and being well
pretty damn funny most of the time.

Nina talking to Miss Catatonic |
Okay,
so obviously the actress was not fired for forgetting lines as she had no lines
to remember. We all must agree that she
is playing a catatonic patient to perfection.
Do we see an Emmy in her future and do they give Emmy’s to people who
just sit there? Oh and we have now nicknamed this catatonic patient CAT because we thought she really needed a name. Let's see if it sticks like Fluke!

One thing that GH has that no other soaps give us is
levity. They throw in some one liners
and just enough humor to keep the viewers coming back for more. We do hope the writing team does not change that
part of the formula for scripts on General
Hospital .

Yeah, catatonic people are a riot! Let's all visit the local psychiatric ward and have a laugh!
ReplyDeleteYou like to do things for others when you have a chance, do you? You certainly blew it with this one. You could have used the cast making fun of catatonic states in order to write something about the stigma of mental illness and how it's still ok for people to mock the mentally ill - but you didn't.
You've lost a reader due to your insensitivity. I'm sure you don't care.
I love your blog
