Days of our lives: Is Hope in danger?

Image from Days YouTube Channel aired 2-13-15
Friday’s cliffhanger left us with Hope watching the rest of the video that Aiden’s dead wife left behind for somebody to find.  The questions that come to mind for me are: is this woman bonkers and paranoid and created this video just to set up her husband?

I really feel like the writers are grasping at air in this storyline as they show the shovel and axe, make a big deal about them and then we don’t see anything that has happened with them.  It is not like Aiden’s wife’s body was never found and she was presumed dead.  She had a gunshot to the head, apparent suicide so why all the cloak and dagger of the shovel, axe and the drag marks on the floors?

So Aiden’s dead wife leads Hope to the anti-freeze.  Why keep anti-freeze in a draw where your young son to get at it?  That makes no sense to me and anybody could have put it there.

Hope is a cop for crying out loud, does she not have any instincts when it comes to this guy?  Has she been sleeping with a killer?  If he is a killer, what happens to his little boy?  There doesn’t seem to be any grandparents around.  This storyline feels so sloppy to me.

I wonder if other viewers think it is sloppy too.  What is your opinion of this story-line?  Are they supposed to be on a beach in Oregon?  This whole cabin type building on a beach does not make sense to me either.
