The children on soaps are aged rapidly all the time, well except for Arianna on Days. It is really time for them to age her and we hope to see that soon.
With that being said, how are the fans reacting to the TIME HOP on Days?
Is there anybody that believes that Gabi is actually over Chad? We here at Soap News Today thinks that Gabi is just biding her time with Eli while she works on a plan to get Chad back.
How about Justin and Kayla? It has been way less than a year since Adrienne has died in some kind of accident which they have yet to reveal and he is already shacked up with Kayla before the ink was dry on her divorce papers. What could Will have done to kill his husband's mother? Did he run her over with a car? How about Kristen & Loni becoming Nuns? Will is in the same jail cell with the guy that strangled him, what is up with that writer's? Kristen's baby is dead. Xander is pretending to be the baby daddy to Sarah's baby. Princess is still around a whole year later. It takes Jennifer a year to wake up but Jack never left her side. JJ is in mourning over Hailey. It looks like Kristen somehow killed her and JJ will not forgive this sin. He is now popping pills to forget.
Marlena gets a fellowship arranged by Princess Gina and goes away for 6 months, comes home to find Hope romancing John. Have we left anything out? We think the time hop is pretty interesting although we can only assume all the deaths have to do more with budget than exciting story lines. What do you think of the time hop? Tripp is perplexed by Ciera's behavior. Ciera feels sorry for Ben and wants him to move in. She is ready to take on her mother for him. Can you imagine your daughter defending a serial killer and putting her relationship on the line with her mother to do it? Claire lets Tripp know who she is feeling about him. CHAD, WILL & PAUL
Lots of threesomes and foursomes at Days these days. Paul now suspects that there is something going on between Will & Sonny. Sonny is admitting to people that he still loves Will. Sonny admits to Paul that he killed Leo. Kate & Ted, Ted & Kate How does Kate always end up with these evil men? Does Kate end up taking matters into her own hands and kills Ted? Does Andre reach out from the grave to get a message to Kate? Steve & Kayla Steve wants to know what his wife is hiding so he investigates her. Steve goes looking into Kayla's private things. In the meantime, Stefan wants more from Kayla than she has already delivered. Gabi, Chad and Abigail Gabi continues to work on Chad. Abigail catches them together looking very cozy. Chad dreams he is the baby's father. Someone thinks about looking into Abigail's medical records for the answers they need. Is it Chad or Stefan or both? Abigail starts to seriously consider if Gabi is really still her friend or her enemy? Gabi lies to Chad to keep him close by. Eve, Jen & Brady Eve tries to cause a reconciliation between Victor and Brady. Eve and Jen are back to their feuding ways.
What happens when brothers are sworn enemies after the same girl, the same business and the same house? Well, you get Stefan, Chad and Abigail. Will someone end up dead? Will E.J., come back and take it all away from them? Who is the baby Daddy?
Who is the FATHER?
Is Chad the father or is Stefan? If Stefan is the father, will Chad stay with Abigail? You know that Stefan is not just going to walk away from his baby.
Is Gabrielle going to be a game changer? Will Gabi swoop in and steal Stefan's heart? Or will Gabi plan on taking back Chad, the love of her life?
Is John Aniston having health issues? The character of Victor Kiriakis hasn't been around Days much lately. John Aniston is getting on in years so a slow down is always expected. On today's show he was sitting on the couch and had a very obvious swelling on one side of his belly. Speculation says it may be some kind of medical apparatus. Also, in the last 4 months, whenever John Aniston is on set, he is shown sitting down. More about the character of Victor Kiriakis
Victor Kiriakis is a fictional character on NBC's Days of Our Lives. The role has been portrayed by John Aniston since 1985. His time on the show has been since 1985 with a brief storyline driven absence in 2004 when his character was "killed off" but found alive on the island of Melaswen. More about John Aniston John Anthony Aniston is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Victor Kiriakis on the NBC daytime drama series Days of Our Lives, which he originated in July 1985 and has played continually since then. He is the father of actress Jennifer Aniston.
DiMera's seem to be coming and going from Salem but is it time for EJ to return and take over the family business? Is EJ the oldest living DiMera, son of Stefano? Both Chad and Stefan are living in the DiMera mansion being in love with the same women. Ironically, EJ also had an affair with Abigail. Wouldn't it just rock all their worlds if EJ came back? When Sammy left Salem, she had just gotten a phone call. We also know that Kristen DiMera was talking to herself about EJ being alive. We know when EJ was in the morgue, Kristen showed up and stuck a needle in her brother.
That has left the door wide open for EJ to return. The only question here is will James Scott return as EJ or will they recast that character? Would Days viewers accept an EJ replacement? James was always a fan favorite but has his long absence been enough for fans of the show to accept a new comer in this role? Let us know how you feel about the possibility of EJ returning and should Sami (Alison Sweeney) come back with him?
Sami hinted at it when she told Rafe that she had to get back to the kids for Christmas. Sami is leaving Salem and Days of our Lives again but not before we have some emotional goodbyes. Will finally gives her his forgiveness although some might feel it is not 100% genuine, he is trying. What happened to Hope's engagement ring? Rafe and Hope are getting back together but where is Hope's engagement ring? We all have to know it is going to turn up in Sami's hotel room. Speaking of hotel rooms, how come half of Salem lives in expensive hotels? Let's do the math a minute. A hotel like that cost approximately $150.00 a night. Let's even discount that to $100.00 a night. That would mean that it would cost a resident of Salem like Paul or Adrienne or Lucas $3,000 a month to stay in the hotel for a 30 day month. HOW CRAZY is that? Sorry to burst that bubble Days fans but who could ever afford that? JJ is going off the rails How far is JJ going to go before someone reaches out to catch him before he falls of the face of the earth?
EVE AND LUCAS SHOULD GET TOGETHER

That is a suggestion not a prediction or spoiler. They both could really use some help and some company. Maggie could keep a closer eye on Lucas having him in the mansion and Eve could surely use a shoulder or someone who isn't constantly trying to get her locked up to hang out with . New Ciara is a little witch with a huge Claire chip on her shoulder What is up with Ciara? She came back a raging witch. Claire is not the end all and be all of all her problems. How much trouble is she going to cause for the dysfunctional people of Salem? Sonny pours his heart out to Will Yes, Sonny tells Will how he feels but it looks like Will is HOT FOR PAUL. The next time we see Sami, will EJ be with her. We already know he is ALIVE!
Yes, we are not just saying this. Days of our Lives have pulled out all the stops this November SWEEPS! People are back, things are happening that you just never would have imagined. Eve is back
EVE IS BACK!!
Since Eve is back, does this mean we will be treated to her sister Theresa this November sweeps to sweep Brady off his feet? Eve is back, could Theresa be far behind?

Days of our Lives bring extreme tricks and treats. So we know Hope gave Sami an address. Sami, John, Marlena, Sonny and Paul travel to Memphis together. It looks like they have entered Eric's farm house set, however this house is supposed to be a Halloween decorated house in Memphis, TN. Does this mean the gang will run into Halloween Elvis? Is the King alive and well in Memphis? Lucas and imaginary Will Lucas is not done imagining Will. He shows up at the police station wasted. Shouldn't the Chief of Police hold in for public intoxication? Eve at the grave of Deimos Eve shows up at Deimos's grave of Deimos. If the viewers can think back about a year ago, Eve and Deimos got along quite well. Could that have cause an alliance between Eve and Deimos when nobody was watching? Could Eve be the widow of Deimos? Does this cause Brady to go deeper into the darkness? Does Eve start to wonder if her daughter is alive? Tripp is crushing on Claire Tripps feelings for Claire just seem to be getting stronger and stronger. Will this cause him to act out? Is Tripp mentally disturbed just like his mother? Adrienne, Lucas and Justin head down to Memphis as well as they want to know about Will. Everyone wants to know if Will is dead or alive. Next week will prove to be a lot of fun and a bit insane on Days of our Lives.
Is there anybody watching that thinks that Brady is okay? Look, when Theresa left, Brady rebounded into Nicole's bed faster than most people change their underwear. After Daniel died, Nicole and Brady were drawn together because of Daniel's heart. However, Nicole didn't act on it as she respected the family Brady and Theresa were making together with Tate. Brady & Theresa In fact, Theresa went away to keep Brady and Tate safe because she loves them so much. Let's Get Soapy is thrilled the writers left that story line open so Theresa could return and claim her family. It looks like Brady is going to need Theresa to come back to save his life. He is living in a very dark place right now. Nicole & Eric
Nicole still loves Eric
These two go back a very long time. Now we are finding out that Eric became a Priest to try and forget about Nicole. When they worked together in the Church, Eric was falling back in love with her. When Zander locked them in the crawl space in the boiler room, they both admitted they had feelings for one another. In fact, Eric was drinking that night because he couldn't stand the thought of living without Nicole. Nicole was in love with Daniel but she never stopped having feelings for Eric. When Eric caused the accident that killed Daniel, Nicole didn't know what to do with her feelings for Eric so they turned to hate. Are the viewers okay with what Brady is doing to keep Nicole and Eric apart? What do the viewers want to see happen here?
The ghost of or imagination of a drunken Lucas brings Will back to help him. How great was it to see Will again? Just a personal observation, the actor Chandler Massey has grown into a fine young man. Let's Get Soapy noticed that he now towers over his soap Dad Bryan Dattilo. Bryan Dattilo Speaking of Bryan Dattilo, today's performance by Bryan was Emmy worthy. LGS really hopes he submits this reel for Emmy consideration. That was some of his best work ever. Just goes to show that as an actor you can continue to grow through the years. Did Will get through to him?

Back to today's episode, did Will get through to his Dad? We all know that Lucas passed out or hit his head on the church bench and was knocked out. It is not really clear which it was and either explanation is plausible with the amount of liquor Lucas was consuming. Does Sammy have to come back to Salem because Lucas needs to see his daughter? Will Sammy help bring Lucas back? Let's Get Soapy gives both Chandler Massey and Bryan Dattilo 5 stars for extremely great acting today. 5 star tear jerking work all the way around.

Drug dealer and PIMP - Snake
This guy may look familiar to many General Hospital fans because he was a regular fixture with recurring status for many years. Yes, Blake Gibbons who played Coleman Ratcliffe, former owner of the Jakes/The Floating Rib is now on Days of our Lives. Jakes-The Floating Rib Fans may remember when Luke Spencer paid Coleman to change the name of Jakes because at the time, he thought he had run over and killed his grandson whose name was Jake. He couldn't stand to the precious little boy's name in blinking lights. Coleman obliged and changed the name to The Floating Rib. A few years ago Mac Scorpio bought The Floating Rib from Coleman. Drug Dealer on Days of our Lives This week Blake Gibbons made his debut as the newest bad guy in Salem. They are calling him Snake. We don't know much more about him other than it looks like he is a drug dealer and a pimp. Lonnie ends up on Park Bench
Lonnie the cop finds herself on a park bench
Lonnie the female cop and Abe's daughter ends up a little beat up after being drugged by Snake. Will he be a short timer or will this part expand into something much bigger for SNAKE on Days of Our Lives? He has always been on of those underrated actors who deserved a much bigger role.

Abigail confides in her brother that Chad still has feelings for Gabi but he promises he is committed to her.
Double dates abound as JJ and Lani have a double date with Paul and Sonny and Rafe and Hope have a double date with Steve and Kayla.
JOHN SIGHTING ALERT
Marlena and John fans get a glimpse of John once again and Marlena day dreams about her man.
Sonny and Paul are finally back together as the fans are treated to a hot love scene.
Hope continues to eaves drop on Deimos. It looks like wire tapping is A-okay in Salem.
Chad is still IN LOVE with two women!!
Chad and Abigail plan their vow renewal because their marriage has been in chaos literally since moment ONE. Kate reminds Abigail that she is not her choice mate for Chad.
Gabi tries to move on with her life and plans on trying to forget Chad with Eli. Ciara tries the same thing by becoming interested in someone new.
The end of Deimos is getting closer
Deimos decides to teach Sonny a lesson. He must not realize that Sonny is much more important to Victor than he. Will he find himself all but gone?
Dario and Ed’s father/son/partners in crime relationship continues to grow. Who would have thought this could happen with the way that Dario HATED his Dad.
Tripp is hungry for answers
Tripp wants answers about his mother’s side of his family and goes looking for them. Will he use what he learns to get revenge for his mother’s death? Why would he since he didn’t even know her?
In conclusion
Things move forward on Days of Our Lives while some things stay the same for another few weeks.

The actor best known as Nick Fallon from Days of Our Lives has stepped in to fill the role of Damian Spinelli. The actor Bradford Anderson was busy filming a prime time role so he was unavailable.
A smile for Maxie
Bradford did send out an apology to his General Hospital fans and explained that his absence was not the soapers fault but is own unavailability. This is a recurring role but a very precious recurring role. Are the fans enjoying the job that Blake is doing as Spinelli?
We are so sad to tell you that the man that portrayed one of our favorite misunderstood daytime villains Stefano DiMera has passed away. Joseph Mascolo, who had played Stefano since 1982, passed away on December 8 from Alzheimer’s disease. He had been battling it for years. Ken Corday announced
“It is with great sorrow that we share the news the news of the passing of our dear friend and beloved member of the Days of our Lives family, Joseph Mascolo,” said Executive Producer Ken Corday in a statement. “The smile on Joe’s face is something we’d all come to find comfort in, and he will be sorely missed. His larger than life presence, kind heart, and unwavering positivity has impacted us all for decades, and will live on in the memories of his many fans. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.”
JOSEPH MASCOLO
Mascolo is survived by his wife, Patricia Schultz-Mascolo, his son Peter, his step-daughter Laura, and his sister, Marie and her husband Ronald LaVoie. He also had five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one niece, one nephew, 3 great nieces, one great nephew and one great-great niece. In a statement, Schultz-Mascolo said, “Joseph was a big ’ol bear with a puppy dog heart. I’m so blessed to have had these many years with him. I will miss him every day.” We dedicate this song to him! 'THE PRESENT'
Days of our Lives craziness abounds as today's episode leaves many scratching their heads. Why is Abigail saying in Salem but not letting her husband know she is alive? She is going to watch in the shadows as her husband and son build a new life with Gabi & Ari?
Adrienne admits she LOVES both men!!
Then Justin busts up the wedding and Adrienne actually says she loves both men while standing there in a wedding dress. What is up with that? Then she says to Sonny, "why did your father wait so long?" That was terrible and Let's Get Soapy really felt sorry for Lucas. Why would Jennifer's mother work with Andre? What was all that about? It doesn't even make sense in any way. Oh poor poor Joey today when he tells his parents that he is just going to have to grow up. Well Joey, that is what most people have to do after they graduate from High School. His parents saying that are not ready for his to be a father or them grandparents was so ridiculous. Geez, quite frankly, the actors are in their 50's and 60's. If not now, when? As you can tell, Days of our Lives really got on our last nerves today. What did you think of today's episode? Does nobody in the town see these lumberjack looking guys walking around? As far as story-lines go, this one has got to go. Look, it is that time of the year again and the show is hunting for ratings but lets end this pain now. Nobody cares about Xander, Clyde or Orpheus, the classic villain from days gone by. The fact that these guys have turned a whole city on its ear is ridiculous. None of them are the sharpest knives in anyone's kitchen draws.
Chloe's Baby Daddy is going to ROCK Nicole's world
Let's Get Soapy thinks they know who the father to Chloe's baby really is and it is going to be a game changer for a lot of people. Theo, the young man who couldn't handle a crying baby and toddler in the dark is going to be using a handgun next week. Oh yeah, that is totally believable writers. After all, just last week he wept like a baby in the arms of Ciara as his father lay bleeding. This is Salem's way of getting a character with autism to grow up quick. Justin is worried about his ex-wife's proximity to the DiMera's and he is not shy about voicing it. We don't just think Thomas may be in danger because of danger minds Clyde. We KNOW Thomas is in danger next week and it is nail biting.
For all the All My Children fans, Days of our Lives fans and even Young and Restless fans we would like to bring the kind and loving heart and mind of Vincent Irizzary to your attention.
As Vincent speaks of irony in his tribute to Pine Valley and Agnes Nixon, a 7th sense must have been telling him that the woman he adored, fought to get recognized via the Kennedy Honors would pass away just 5 short days later. Vincent Irizzary is and has always been a fabulous human being and a phenomenal actor. Here is what Vincent said on his Facebook page on September 23, 2016.
Interesting coincidence. Ended up in Glendale today; a part of town I rarely, rarely visit. Decided to go to The Americana for a salad and glass of wine to bring the exhausting, yet satisfying, work week to an end; decompress. Perfect afternoon. Clear, sunny skies. Slight breeze. Moderate temperature. LA autumn at its finest. Doesn't hurt to have the musical standards I adore playing over the PA outside where I sit, harmoniously joining the flowing waters of the nearby gilded fountain...Sinatra, Bennett, Holiday... Yes. What Friday's were created for... However, what makes this seemingly perfect late afternoon even more curious is what I recently, completely by chance, spotted on my Twitter feed; this accompanying article. Today happens to mark the 5 year anniversary of the final episode airing of ABC's 40+ yr run of All My Children... Personally, what makes this even more relevant during my weekending exhale is the fact that the last scenes we shot and produced of AMC ABC were at the studio we relocated to here in LA from NYC after 40 yrs of production, just 8 minutes away from where I'm typing this post, so enjoying my New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, at a place I would visit back then, but haven't since I worked on the show those 5 years back. Not once. Coincidence? Hmmmm... Perhaps the restless spirit of Dr DH led me here to reminisce, reflect on this day's significance... Thank you, dear, dear Agnes Nixon, and all I had the privilege of working alongside throughout those magical years. Thank you, even more, all of you who had invited us into your homes, year after glorious year, graciously weaving us into the fabric of your everyday lives. To you I send my greetings from our dear, eternal "Pine Valley." I raise a glass to you all...

Look at all that talent in that photo. Susan Lucci went to Prime Time with Devious Maids. The Queen of daytime has not taken a role on another daytime drama. Vincent Irizzary is now on Days of our Lives. Michael E. Knight was recently on Young and Restless as Dr. Simon Neville and Rebecca Buddig is currently on General Hospital portraying Hayden Barnes. Walt Willy expressed his condolences on his Facebook page. Also pictured is Lee Meriwether who portrayed the role of Ruth Martin after Mary Fickett was too ill to continue. Mary Fickett subsequently passed away on September 12, 2011. Ray McDonnell and Lee Meriwether are still alive. Also pictured is Cameron Mathison with his on screen daughter. He is currently a host on Entertainment tonight. Last but not least is Jill Larson who played the 2nd Opal Courtland, Michael E. Knights birth-mother on All My Children.
The cast of 'All My Children' and 'One Life To Live' always had a special relationship with Agnes. She was truly their other mother when they worked on her shows. They were really all her children and that is how she always treated each and everyone of them.
The terror continues in Salem as the 3 Amigos have teamed up to take their respective enemies down and they have devised a plan to do it. Like like art imitating real life, an explosion goes off in the city of Salem and that explosion entraps a lot of the residents.

Chad and Gabby continue to get close and they do have some history together. Deimos is worried about the baby that Chloe is carrying so he wants her to move into the mansion. He wants all his relatives living in the mansion with him. He must be trying to catch up on 30 years of living with NO FAMILY. Eduardo is back in Salem and thinks the escape of the 3 Amigos is totally his fault and he confides this to his good friend John. Kate is the female version of the devil although she has a real affinity for Chad. Makes you wonder about that one. Eve's time in Salem is over.
