2nd Surgery for Soap star Nathaniel Marston fighting for his life and possible cause of accident

JUST IN:  This is an update from Nathaniel's Mom.

Nathaniel Marston update: Thank you for your love prayers 

and positive thoughts which ARE making a 

difference.

Nathaniel is going into surgery this afternoon at 

12:30 PST. His last surgery to alleviate pressure on the 

spine went very well and Nate is taking some breaths on his 

own. Today Dr.s will do their best to repair breaks in his 

neck and stabilize his neck. Thanks you again for your love

prayers and support. I will update everyone as soon as I 

have more news.Warm wishes from me ,my family and 

Nathaniel.

ET Tonight is reporting that Marston 

may have fallen asleep 

at the wheel.  

This is the statement released by 

the local  police in Nevada.

"The vehicle drifted into the opposite lane and it is believed that when Marston awoke he over-corrected, causing his pickup truck to flip several times," the statement continues.

Marston, who was not wearing a seat- belt at the time of the accident, "was ejected from the vehicle through the windshield and upon landing crushed several vertebrae in his neck and back. Remarkably, he suffered no head trauma."
