Young and Restless writers need to do some research about
the characters history, most especially medical history if they want viewers
digest story-lines. Several years ago Young
and Restless lost the precious character of Colleen. Colleen was Traci Abbott’s daughter and her
heart was given to Victor.

Victor has
used and abused that heart but what really needs to be noted is that Victor
seems to live a normal life with Colleen’s heart.
The truth is that heart transplant patients don’t live a
carefree life. They have to remain on
anti-rejection medication for the rest of their lives which actually causes side
effects. Also, transplants can fail after 5 or 10 years but we never see Victor going to a cardiologist for a check up and he would be seeing a cardiologist at least twice a year.
Let’s Get Soapy is not saying that the writers should dwell
on it but they should at least mention it once in a while and Victor should need
daily anti rejection medication in jail.
Since he is seeing that doctor daily, shouldn’t that be
mentioned and made part of the story-line. Soap fans remember story-lines, it is shame the writers don’t.
