One of our most read posts ever at “Let’s Get Soapy,’ is the
post about Franco & Kiki’s (Todd & Starr’s) last scene together. The people who watched and loved One Life to
Live knew what was really going on behind the scenes and the written
dialog. A man who had watched a little
girl grow up was saying goodbye to her and she him and it hurt them both. I was not a soap opera goodbye but a real
goodbye.

When Roger and Kristen came over from One Life to Live to General Hospital , they came over as the
characters they had portrayed on OLTL for over 10 years. On OLTL they had a unique and loving
relationship as father and daughter.
They were a fan favorite. Many
fans came from OLTL over to General
Hospital because of
them.
Then Prospect
Park the production company
that had purchased the rights from ABC to produce the AMC & OLTL reboots on
the internet sued ABC for breach of contract.
That lawsuit continues on today, the point being that General Hospital
had to cease and desist using the OLTL characters so at that time, a lot of scrambling
went on and the characters of Kiki and Silas were created. It was decided that Roger would take over the
role of Franco since he is capable of doing crazy so well.
Today for the first time the new actress portraying Kiki (Haley
Erin) had her first scene with Roger (Franco) and in perfect Roger fashion, he
looks at the new girl and says, “You look different.” It is that kind of humor and delivery that
makes Roger a fan favorite and a big reason why there are so many new fans to General Hospital .

Roger and Michele have great chemistry
together and Let’s Get Soapy can see them becoming a power couple and family
leaders in Port Charles. When Nina
discovers that Kiki is actually her and Silas’s daughter, Franco will get to be
her step-father. The character once
thought that Kiki was his child, now she will be his step-child. Maybe they will bring in one or two more lost
children for Franco and really build an empire of crazy meets comedy. Wouldn’t that be something?
