Yes, you read that right unless it is somebody's idea of a HUGE PRACTICAL JOKE.  Jill Farren Phelps has been FIRED from the Young and Restless.  This comes as wonderful news for hundreds of thousands of fans who thought that this woman was killing their beloved soap. She does have the reputation of being a soap slayer and during her reign, the fans have watched their #1 soap lose their #1 spot.

What does this mean for GOLDEN BOY Steve Burton?  He is on the Young and Restless because of Jill.

She handpicked and basically swiped him from General Hospital by offering a very liberal taping schedule so he could live 70% of his time in Tennessee with his family and his new restaurant he shares with co-owner Nashville star and former cast member of General Hospital.
