Young and Restless: Ashley’s brain surgery debacle

We wouldn’t even bring this up but quite frankly we here at Let’s Get Soapy are scratching our heads over Ashley’s aneurysm and the purpose behind it.  It was the quickest medical emergency in soap history with the quickest resolution. 

Was there any real purpose to that story-line at all?  She was sick for a day, in the hospital for surgery the next and discharged 24 hours after what was supposed to be brain surgery without even a bandage on the back of her head or neck.

What the heck was the point of all of that?  We have been watching news coming out of the Y&R studios to see if maybe an upcoming story-line could explain the need for that expedited medical emergency that went nowhere.  The only thing we see that may resemble weird behavior from Ashley is the fact that she is still attracted to her daughter’s boyfriend. 

Are they going to use Ashley’s feelings for Stitch (Ben) a result of her surgery or because of it?

What do the viewers think of Ashley’s brain surgery story-line that wasn’t? 

Since Y&R are touching on the domestic violence story-line, I wanted to share a song I wrote about domestic violence in my previous marriage.  I lived this and thought writing about it might help other people who were experiencing it.  I got out and I hope this song inspires other women to get out too!
