Last day for Jason Thompson (Dr. Patrick Drake) was yesterday, November 21, 2015 which also happened to be his birthday. 

Ironically, just the other day the actor announced that he and his wife were expecting their first baby due in fact twins in the spring.  We went searching for the sonogram photo we were told he had put up and could not find it.  That means that this has either been misrepresented or he thought better of it and removed the photo.

In any event, his wife is pregnant and he is done with General Hospital. 

Before leaving the set, this is what Jason has to say to Soap Opera Digest, “ 'It was a long, emotional, exhausting, thrilling and at times overwhelming day, and I am so grateful for every one of those moments," he posted on Instagram. "Change can be exciting and scary all at once. Shake it up ... see what comes out."

So this can only mean that the man must have a backup plan because most responsible human beings wouldn’t be leaving a sure paycheck just when one is most definitely needed.  What is Jason Thompson’s back up plan?  Are the rumors true, could his back up plan be 'The Young and the Restless?'
